James Brady, former Reagan press secretary, gun-control advocate, dies

Sad to hear about James Brady, a strong advocate for gun control after his personal experience being shot during an assassination attempt of President Reagan. Much respect for a man that stood up to the powerful gun lobby. Brady, a republican, was fearless taking gun control head on with the creation of the Brady Campaign and continued to fight for stronger gun laws, one of which was passed in 1993. We sure could use a lot more gun control republicans standing up to the pro-gun lobby and make laws that reflect the true meaning of the second amendment.
