US Attorney Loretta Lynch faced the senate judiciary committee yesterday during her confirmation hearing for Attorney General. This is the first high profile confirmation hearing since the Republicans took control of the Senate earlier this month.

Romney is back! Former Massachusetts Governor, Mitt Romney apparently is seriously considering a run for the presidency in 2016. This is, of course, after two failed attempts at the presidency in 2008, where he lost the Republican primary, and in 2012, when he lost the general election.
This past week we finally saw the much anticipated transfer of power in Congress. Both the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate is under the control of the Republican Party. With this new Congress in 2015, comes a whole new set of problems.
This week we learned of the passing of a liberal giant, former New York Governor Mario Cuomo, who died on New Years Day, just hours after his son, Andrew was sworn in for his own second term as New York’s Governor.
